Prescott Valley Police arrest 5 in past week on DUI charges

PD News Release_IG

The Prescott Valley Police Department continues its support of the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety DUI Traffic Enforcement Program on a daily basis.  The objective of the enforcement program is to reduce the number of vehicle collisions and the resulting injuries and fatalities through increased highly visible enforcement.

Police continue to focus on impaired driving, speeding enforcement, and pedestrian safety.  Increased patrol efforts are not just focused along State Route 69, one of the busiest corridors in the quad city area, but throughout the town.

In the first seven days of February, officers have arrested five DUI drivers, two on Superbowl Sunday. Two DUI arrests were misdemeanors and three were felony arrests.

Prescott Valley Police would like to remind everyone who drinks alcohol beverages to have a designated driver especially with the upcoming Valentine’s Day.  Be responsible and enjoy your Valentine’s Day celebrations by keeping yourself and those you love safe.

Prescott Valley Police Department can be contacted at (928) 772-9267 for non-emergencies, 911 for emergencies. Yavapai County Silent witness is 1-800-932-3232.
