Wellness Champ - Heather Waldriff

Loss Control/Risk Coordinator Heather Waldriff

Heather Waldriff is more than the Loss Control/Risk Coordinator for the Town Clerk's Office, she's a yogi, an Army Reserve Unit Commander, and an active member of our community. In September, Heather participated in the IRONMAN Triathlon in Santa Cruz, CA. If you're not familiar, the IRONMAN is a long distance triathlon consisting of a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile bicycle ride, and a 26.22 mile run, in that order. While Heather didn't complete the entire event, she did swim 1.2 miles in the Pacific Ocean, and biked 28 miles! Now that's what we call impressive. Heather has been a certified yoga instructor for 1 1/2 years. She specializes in trauma informed yoga which focuses on healing from trauma such as PTSD, sexual assault, and domestic violence. Heather also leads employee stretching classes every Tuesday and Thursday at 10:15 in The WELL. Heather is a great example of what it means to live a life full of wellness! Keep up the good work, Heather!
