Master Gardener Talk: Xeriscaping
Prescott Valley Public Library (7401 East Skoog Blvd. Prescott Valley) will be hosting ‘Master Gardener Talks’. Lesley Alward, University of Arizona Master Gardener Emeritus, Class of 2005, is a former landscape contractor who designed and built residential gardens in both the Bay area of California and here in the greater Prescott area as Lesley Alward Landscaping. Lesley briefly had a gardening and landscaping consulting business here with Mary Ann Mira, AZ Garden Gals, before retiring in 2018.
Xeriscaping, can be defined as "landscaping or gardening that reduces or eliminates the need for supplemental water from irrigation". We will consider the 'why' of low water gardening, plant selection, and plant care techniques which lower water need, with examples of specific trees, shrubs, grasses and succulents.
This program is free. No registration is required.
