Councilmember Martin Grossman

Martin “Marty” Grossman was elected to the Prescott Valley Town Council in the May 2013 general election. He was re-elected in 2016 and his current term expires in December 2020.

Marty moved to Prescott Valley from New York City in October 2009. He is a retired U.S. Postal Service Letter Carrier. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Adelphi University in Management and Communications and served honorably in the Army from 1969 to 1975.

Marty volunteered for more than 25 years with the March of Dimes in New York City, serving as a member of the logistics committee that put together WalkAmerica, which is now called March for Babies. Since moving to Prescott Valley, he has become deeply involved in the community. He is a graduate of the Prescott Valley Citizen’s Academy and the Prescott Valley Police Academy and has also served as an officer in the Prescott Valley Police Foundation and worked on various other projects and programs in the Town.

Marty currently volunteers with the Prescott Area Habitat for Humanity, the quad cities March of Dimes, is active in the Prescott Valley Chapter of NARFE (National Active and Retired Federal Employees) and the West Tranquil Nextdoor Group.

Marty would like to improve the job market in the community by bringing in manufacturing jobs, office jobs and professional services. An improved job market will lead to an improved housing market. Marty believes that by working closely with the Prescott Valley Economic Development Foundation and the Prescott Valley Chamber of Commerce to bring jobs to the area, he can be a part of helping the economy of Prescott Valley thrive.
