The Prescott Valley Town Council accepted a new Strategic Economic Development Plan known as Focus on Success in November, 2007. This effort, funded by Arizona Public Service, built upon the successes of earlier APS-sponsored efforts known as Focus Future and Focus Future II.
The Focus on Success document is a five-year economic development plan that focuses on five key areas: Business Development, Education, Workforce Development, Leadership and Collaboration, and Quality of Life. Included in the plan are goals, objectives, stategies, and benchmarks related to each focus area. Also included is a short-term action plan designed to prioritize the objectives and serve as a guide for the first two years of the plan. The Town of Prescott Valley, the Prescott Valley Economic Development Foundation, and the Prescott Valley Chamber of Commerce are responsible for implementing the plan and monitoring its progress.
