The Town of Prescott Valley recognizes the impact that growth will have on the local environment. The Town of Prescott Valley also recognizes that it can and should be a leader in maintaining a healthy and sustainable community. The Town will be working to identify (both for the short and long-term) solutions and strategies to tackle those challenges.
The Town of Prescott Valley is planning its second FREE Creative Energy Fair at the Tim's Toyota Event Center on Saturday, September 26, 2009.
The Fair will be open to the public and will focus on energy saving products and methods that are fun, functional and affordable. This year's plan is to stage a one-day event that will begin earlier and end later, with many hands-on demonstrations of how to reduce home energy costs, as well as examples of alternative building and energy choices. This year's event will include a food pavilion featuring many healthy food choices and alternative energy cooking methods; the event will culminate with entertainment for the entire family!
Additional information regarding this event will be provided as it becomes available.
As the population of Prescott Valley grows, strategies to help maintain a vibrant quality of life will be even more important in the future. An important part of these strategies will be maintaining a healthy and sustainable environment, ecologically and economically.
The Town's General Plan contains many components for smart growth and quality of life as this document provides a working blueprint for promoting a vibrant, healthy community.
