Patty Lasker, Councilmember

Patty Lasker was sworn in as a Prescott Valley Town Council member in June 2009. Her current term expires in June 2013.Councilmember Patty Lasker

Patty was born in Hartford, Connecticut and grew up in New Hampshire. She began her career as a nurse and years later founded a non-profit nursery school that is still in existence today. Patty left nursing and started her first business – a soup and sandwich shop that she sold five years later. While she managed the shop, she organized the local business community into a tourism bureau that increased the local economy.

After selling the shop, Patty also went back to college and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1993. She received her Series 7 license for investment advisors and began working with her husband in their investment firm. Patty wrote a weekly investment column and occasionally taught courses. Patty published a board game about the stock market, which led to the creation of five more board games. She also got involved with the American Cancer Society and served as the board president.

Patty and her husband sold their businesses in 2005 and retired to Prescott Valley. She graduated from the Citizen’s Academy and is one of the founders of the Prescott Valley Old Town Board.

Patty is happy to serve the people of Prescott Valley because she believes that there is a solution to every problem.
