Richard Anderson was sworn in as a Prescott Valley Town Council member in February 2009. His current term expires in June 2011.
Anderson has lived in Prescott Valley for nine years and is retired. He brings to the council a strong background in community volunteerism including membership on the Prescott Valley Monument Committee, PV Chamber of Commerce, VA Hospital and he served on the General Plan 2020 Committee.
Anderson has worked in management counseling at Yavapai College as well as a program/recruiting and retention specialist for Veteran’s Upward Bound Project. In addition, Anderson worked as a personnel manager/recruiter for the U.S. Army. Affiliations include the Veterans of Foreign Wars, BPO Elks #330, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 16 and the Early Bird Lions.
Anderson would like to continue the efforts of the Town Council in seeking volunteers for the new library and to look for other ways that people can be of service to their community.
