The Reclaimed Water System takes treated effluent from the Town's wastewater treatment plant and transports it for use in other areas. For example, the water in the ponds located in Mountain Valley Park is treated effluent.
Also, this water is used to irrigate the Stoneridge Golf Course. Because of this, we save our groundwater for drinking purposes rather than for irrigation. This is a significant savings because during the summer months a golf course will use approximately 1 million gallons of water every day.
